Generally it's considered that the shorter length of use, the more comfortable the lenses are (but, equally, the more expensive they are for the amount of time used)

I've only ever used Monthlies.

To be honest, I think that most people would only have tried one or two from that list, so couldn't really comment..

i ve used: 1) one year lenses
2) every 3 months lenses
3) every month lenses
4) daily lenses

DEFINITELY: daily lenses. they are always sterile, always feel fresh and great, neve scratched or anything that can damage your eyes! at the end of the day it's your eyes, who cares about the expense? i pay about 40 pounds a month for lenses [focus daily] and it is the best money i spend every month.

I have to get mine changed every 6 months.

I've been using contacts for just over a year, sometimes they can be really uncomfortable, and annoying to put them in. But because of the problems in my right eye, I can't wear dailies they have to be the 6 month ones. £60 each, every 6 months. It's worth it as I love not having to wear glasses.

I heard that dailies don't give you as good eyesight as monthlys, like monthlys are closer to your prescription because they're thicker or something? Is that true? Or maybe its just with people with astigmatism. I also heard that dailies can rip in your eye because they're so thin! I am on monthlies at the mo but I don't wear them that much because it feels really wrong to have plastic floating around in my eye! I'm also paranoid about them getting infected even though I am really meticulous about cleaning, I think thats why I'd prefer the idea of dailies if the eyesight was the same as monthlys.

I have astigmatism, but because it's so bad the monthly ones were the only ones I could get. I also had 6 different prescriptions tested in my eyes before the optician found the right ones, and the prescription has changed in the 2 pairs I have had over the last 12 months because my eyesight changed all the time. Really annoying.
Monthly Disposables..I use them for the 2nd year now it they are fine to me!

dailies, cos doesnt that mean that you've got the least chance of your eyes becoming infected or something?

Not at all.

If you were montlhlies and follow the instructions for cleaning them, then you're fine. They only affect your eyes if they are not treated properly.

the good thing with dailies is that if you lose one is not the end of the world!

I had monthly disposables but hated putting them in and taking them out every day so gave up with them and went back to glasses. Then in December, as there was a free trial on at my opticians, I tried continuous wear and they are great! I've had no problems with them and I can’t even feel them after the first couple of minutes after changing them each month, as apparently they mould better to the shape of your eyes. I'd never go back to disposables, putting them in and taking them out every day as it's just too much messing about, I don't like glasses, so they are brilliant. Highly recommended!
