Arnica will get rid of it quicker than letting it fade by itself. If you're going to be ashamed of it don't let someone give you one in the first place! You can conceal it with concealer/foundation/powder but that just makes it more obvious IMO. xx

what is arnica? and.. what does IMO mean ?

Stuff you can get at the chemist called Lasonil is excellent - apparently boxers use it! It will reduce the bruising/swelling but its not some miracle cure. You're still going to have a mark there for three or four days.

My friend lent me some really top quality concealer for when I needed to wear a halterneck with one on my shoulder, lol... but it still didn't cover it entirely

They make a cream especially for concealing love bites?

i remember my friend went to her boyfriends for the weekend once, and she came back with lovebites ALL over her neck. we were meant to be going to stay at her grandparents the week after, but her parents wouldn't let her go because of these massive lovebites.. they were still around for like 2 weeks after..

also, an ex once gave me one on my chin.. i was so angry. i mean, of all places..!? ****er. that took about 2 days to go.. i tried getting it to go by putting hot water on it, and rubbing it.. i think if i hadn't have done that, it would have taken longer to go.

ppth.

Try toothpaste. Apparently it works, I have never had a lovebite so have no experience of getting rid of them but heard that toothpaste is suprisingly effective.

Arnica is a cream which you can buy from Boots/Chemists, it's a homeopathic remedy thing. That probably will work, it gets rid of brusies/.

I think love bites make people, especially girls, look like sluts. I mean you see a girl with a big, dirty bite on her neck and think "tart". They're just unnecessary, not to mention dangerous - they can actually cause Thrombossis. My opinion anyway. Don't start flaming for chrissakes.

Well yeh, but supposedly it helps lovebites too.

ok you let someone suck at your neck until blood vessels burst and give you a bruise and are then ashamed of it and want to conciel it...
why do you let people do it to you its discusting
meat would work. same reason slapping a raw steak on a black eye works

Ive got one at the moment actually. Got it off my boyfriend last night. And no its not disgusting. Its quite nice having someone nibbling at your neck  although normally we try to avoid them but we had a bit too much to drink last night. I just cover it up with concealer as much as i can (unfortunately its still pretty obvious!) and then wear a scarf permenantly for a week! My problem is that im supposed to be swimming tomorrow night! So im gona have to get out of that somehow.
