What do guys really want??

O.k...this is a bit random - but think it's pretty relevant...(sorry if its been done before)

Do guys really want the little girlfriend who is sweet, quiet, smart yet in a little ditsy way and needs complete protection and always has the perfect make up/hair or is the go-getting, independent (yet wants to be looked after), clever, discussive, strong girl attractive??

all opinions welcome..

To be honest it's a stupid question because every guy has a different preference... I can guarantee that you will be none the wiser, even if 1000 guys reply to this post.

Sorry

Both - it depends on the guy and the girl. Some guys might like the first type others might like the latter. And, some guys might have no preference, as long as they like the girl. Personally I've liked both types because I liked the girl.

There is no right or wrong answer. It's like asking whether all guys prefer blondes or brunettes - you can't answer it.

me and most of the men i know want a girl that is clever and fun (most important). The the other bits are down to an individual. personally i can't stand a girl that pretends to be stupid... all they're good for are one night stands.

A girl which isn't clingy. is cool with not seeing me 24/7. is cool with space. perfect makeup/hair is annoying.

it says a lot about a girl - like she's quite superficial
how did you people work out perfect make up shows she is superficial

People talk some crap on these forums!

What "guys really want" is girls. No real specifics need to be involved.

Personally, I prefer "go-getting, independent, clever, discussive" girls... but everyone's different. It really isn't a one-size-fits-all-situation.

Does the pope wear a funny hat?
There's something sexy about human frailties, human fragility - someone deep, not someone riddled with problems but there's alot hidden and mysterious. A girl who is social, but not overly social, someone possessing an air of cheek and sarcasm...some bad attitude, somewhat questionning authority and rebellious, which is cool, very sexy.
I'm surprised sex wasnt an option.

A slight mixture, to be honest; a girl with the 'sweet' and 'quiet' qualities, but perhaps the 'clever' quality hinted at in your second, hypothetical description; I don't mind 'ditsiness', in a woman (can be slightly endearing), although it would be nice if she was discussive, and hence her intelligence was illustrated, and there was scope for intelligent conversation.

The 'independent' quality is a little too broad to understand in a general context, in my opinion; could be interpreted in several ways. However, it'd probably be more of a frame of mind, which would seem rather brash, to me. If I had to choose between either type of girl, it'd be the first (by some considerable margin). Why? Because we'd be better matched; I'm not exactly the biggest extrovert, myself, and I find quietness an endearing quality, in others (most of all in women, being a heterosexual guy).

I wouldn't be bothered about her having perfect make-up/hair (although, if she did, fair enough, of course...), and, as regards the "needs complete protection", well, I'm not sure if I'd find it actually endearing, if she needed it, but if she felt she did, and wished for me to provide her with which, I would find this endearing, and would feel special myself. Generally, on a physical level, I would like to feel protective towards a girlfriend, and, in general, do like to feel supportive, as a partner should be.

At the end of the day, I'd consider anyone I got on with who had a nice personality, reasonable looks and a fair level of intelligence. Any offers much-welcomed.

There has to be an equilibrium. Girls who are too quiet are too awkward to be around and those who are too hyper are too annoying.

As for intellect, the dumb but innocent attitude doesnt do anything for me.

:toofunny:

Was that supposed to be ironic?
No set formula for myself. Really does depend on the girl and whether or not we click and have good chemistry. While I am by nature quite a strong person, and thus quite protective and supportive, it isn't something exclusive to girls I am going out with.
A couple of things I do value greatly are being able to hold a lengthy interesting conversation with a girl I'm seeing, otherwise things get very dull pretty quickly, and being able to just be in each others company at total ease, without feeling awkward and uncomfortable even if things quieten down for while
If these things are in place then I can see past most other things:rolleyes:
