I went to Aberdeen, studied nothing related to oil and now work in a great job at a Big 6 group abroad. The links are good. Friends doing petroleum-related courses are doing really well. Aberdeen is the place to be in the UK for oil. That said, I have no idea about Dundee - but don't hesitate to go to Aberdeen!

I must admit that I struggle to see why you'd want to go anywhere in Scotland except Aberdeen for an oil-related course - there's a reason it's called the oil capital of Europe. Don't get me wrong, Dundee is a good university but I can see the question coming up at interview "So, why Dundee and not Aberdeen?" if you go that way.

first of all thanks for the reply because from last 6 to 7 months i am searching for the answer of my question but no one is giving the opinion .... some goes with the uni of aberdeen and some with uni of dundee which make more confusion ... well i am also want to be in uni of aberdeen as its much more cheap than dundee almost 5000 pounds and their accommodation is also less expensive then dundee.... and as a whole i heard that aberdeen is big city with more opportunities in petroleum field as compare to dundee.... anyways thanks for the suggestion

Hi,
Could anybody who study/have graduated from UOA - MSc petroleum, energy economics and finance share their opinion about the course and job prospects afterwards.

Would be grateful,

Petero
