What's The Deal Here?!

Ok, i've been seeing a guy for about two months. Was kind of wondering as to what the deal was between us, so decided to bring it up on Saturday, when I went to his house (we're both at Uni in Oxford, except I'm, ahem, at the 'other' Oxford Uni, often wonder if this is my main problem!). Admittedly, he's busy, as a postgard and a rower at international level. But when we see each other, I usually go to his and the inevitable always happens. I've met him in clubs and we've been out for drinks twice, but this usually happens. I asked him how many girls he was seeing atpresent, as clearly we have'nt had the ''relationship chat''. He replied with a string of random girls names, that clearly weren't indicative of him telling the truth, he said someting like ''there's Mavis, Betty etc''! This wasn't really the answer I was hoping for, even though it was sort of obvious that he was being ironic and sarcastic. I went quiet for a bit, feeling a little awkward. About a minute later, he said ''well how many are you seeing?!'' and i fimly said that it was only him. Then he said that he wouldn't have been angry as ''i'm not seeing you and you're not seeing me''. By this point, I was far too embarrassed to say anything else on the matter.

Basically, I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever been in this situation, and how it went, and what came of it etc?

I just wonder as he's invited me to Attica nightclub in London next week with a group of his friends back home in London, and asked outright if he could come to the Cartier Polo tournament that i'm playing in next week, so it's not centred solely around one thing!

Clearly, I'm a naive girl who slightly like this person... but please give me your views or take on my predicament.

Thanku
attica is rubbish, don;t go

Only been once, six months ago, tend to prefer Bar Red just down the road! Thanks- but my problem still remains!
maybe he's just seeing how it goes? if he's inviting you out with his friends he must like you.
I dont think guys tend to like having girlfriends, but from what I hear, he likes spending time with you. It could be that you're quite cool to be seen with- hence him inviting you out with his friends and to the polo?
