You spend a large proportion of your time on clinical placements - thus the Uni holidays are several weeks shorter to compensate for the loss of theory time  So alas when all your mates are buggering off for the Christmas hols you're still gonna be stuck there slogging away!

In the first and second years you get almost the same holidays as the rest of people at university, but after that (third fourth and fifth year) the holidays are dramatically reduced, I think only getting a couple of weeks of in summer, and a week at easter and christmas.

Yeah, they reduce over the yeas till u end up with 2 weeks in the summer in ur final yr.

The course in Sheff starts in Oct and many plp have told me the summer hol in the first yr is 3 months, so I gues that'll make up for it!
