Anger management? Talk to someone about ways to cope with the stress these people give you.

I am really shy and have had loads of confidence problems. Some people have been unkind to me.

Problem is when ever a lose it and see red I keep sending them abusive emails

They were also nasty behind my back. I have confronted them

I just want to stop seeing red and behaving like this before I get into serious trouble :frown:

If people send you abusive emails, contact the e-mail provider or your ISP. It's probably not even legal to send people such things.

No, they can't. But they're a bit sensitive about it so we tend not to talk about it.

Okay, before sending an e-mail just calm yourself down. This might sound really silly but it is actually a positive way of coping with stress - try something like meditation, focus your anger on something else like doing exercise, listening to really loud music or maybe writing something more creative to let it out.

I know it can be difficult when you're in such a rage - especially when you're shy around these people anyway - not to just let it at them but honestly, it's not benefitting you; especialy if they're sending you these e-mails back.

Just look at ways of cognitively trying to change the way you approach your anger. As already stated, talking to someone whether they be a close friend or some randomer on the net can also really help you put things into perspective and calm you down with another person's point of view.

thanks that sounds sensible

Don't send emails. Be as abusive as you like on paper then keep it an hour and reread it. Then be glad you can just screw it up and chuck it in the bin.
