help! (potential girl trouble)
ok
i met this girl at the weekend, started chatting etc and at the end of the night, she asked me if she could give me her number (quite forward, which i like).
anyway, we've texted each other a couple of times and i'm going to call her tonight.
the problem lies in the fact, i cannot for the life of me remember her name!
is there any way of asking her on the phone without coming across like a complete tool and losing her interest?

Ask her if she has any nicknames? Might give you a clue...
Call her anomously, and with a fake accent or something, and say "who is this, you left a message on my answer machine". Try and get a name out of her.

call her darling first, then get chatting! Ask her to come up with words that start with each letter of her name, words that describe herself. Then hopefully by the end if you write down all the letters it will spell out her name! xxx

Thats a tricky one.
To avoid making an absolute tit of yourself I really would get one of your mates to call her and ask who she is, and for them to apologise and say they called the wrong number.
Sorted.
Dont for gods sake call her and skirt around the name issue, and dont call her the same day your friend does!! (in fact leave it for as long as possible)

bit the bullet and gave her a txt saying i was sorry etc and if she is still interested to get back in touch.

What you do is text, 'oh my mate knows a girl by your name, whats your full name to see if your the girl he knows'.
Worked 2/2 for me on finding out a girls name after drunkenly giving away your number.
Even better get her to call you and when she says hello, say 'who is this' and do the whole 'oh sorry I forgot to save your number in my phone it was under my recent calls list'

If she works or goes to school, or you know she's busy at a certain time, ring until you get to the answerphone - "hi this is (insert name here) I'm busy right know, please leave your name and number and i'll get back to u", then you'll know her name and she will probably ring you back as well! If not then do the passing the phone to a friend thing, that's ingenius!
