girls are complete b*****s. i'm pretty disillusioned at the moment to be honest.
a girl i'd been friends with for a couple of years started making it kinda obvious she liked me - ie telling me - but i wasn't sure if i felt the same until around January this year. then i said it back and things were developing nicely. then yesterday i found out she hasn't liked me since february but has been leading me on because she likes the attention i give her (not her words but it's blatantly obvious). so i'm at uni (first year) and she's at home still but i could have been out getting a life instead of talking to her everyday for the past month. i have been wasting my life and i'm really quite irritated atm. why do girls do this?

i know it's obviously not all girls. but the situation is fairly complicated and i have enough trouble picking up on obvious hints let alone subtle ones that insult me more often that not.I thought calling girls names was something boys did in Primary school!

i know it'll be hard, but you gotta do it...
instead, go flirt with other girls who are obviously much PRETTIER than her... that way she'll know that she doesnt deserve the attention anymore...

i had an attention whore who pissed ALL my other female friends off at me... ALL of them stopped talking to me coz of some stupid crap that she spread about me... all coz she wanted my attention all to herself...

How is it blatantly obvious that she's been leading you on? And if you've really been talking all the time for a month, what on earth have you been talking about if the relationship has gone nowhere? I don't think you have been talking all the time, and therefore I don't think you've wasted very much time at all.

no i'm getting over her. just don't like being played for a fool that's all. and maybe i'm just slightly angry. normally i don't do this type of thing but i had to say something or i'd explode. and yes i'm aware that what i posted seems childish and useless, so there's no reason to continue pointing that out.
Best thing to do - learn from this experience, and use it to your advantage next time around. The majority of girls are real nice, they will be generally friendly to you. On this assumption it's normally easy to see which girls are worth your time.
all i can say is, girls get it too. i have an on and off thing with a guy (mostly off) who will randomly tell me i am the most perfect thing he has ever come across. but then he'll stop talking to me for months with no explanation. basically, he's talking rubbish. boys come out with lies. i have yet to meet a boy who hasn't totally ****ed with my head. so it's not just boys who do this. it's everyone. x
