quitting uni-personal statement

I went to uni last year but ended up dropping out. Now im applying again, but how should I explain about me dropping out on my personal statement?

i was doing english, but i dropped out so i could do theology instead. But it makes me sound a bit fickle to say i just changed my mind about my course. I dont want to just drop it in like no big deal, but i dont want to put too much emphasis on it either.

I don't think there's anything wrong with telling tutors about your new-found passion.

You don't have to explicitly say it, but if they ask, you could just tell them the truth.

Emphasise the things you've done to make sure the new course is the one for you. Also, say the study skills and things like that that you have now learnt.
