I can't revise anymore

I'm so sick of revision. I've covered all of the content for my exams (just a bit of re-capping my weak points) and i'm just onto past papers but I'm at the end of my tether. I've barely done anything today because I'm mentally exhausted.
Here's the grades that I'm currently working on:
Biology: solid A grades in my past papers
Chemistry: A/B borderline in past papers
History: B (nervous about slipping into C)
English Lit (re-take): teacher expects me to get an A but I'm going to put a conservative estimate on a B

Do I really need to revise much more? Every morning I wake up dreading the day ahead because I hate revision so much. I just can't take much more.

This. Take maybe a day or two out from studying and relax. Then do some light-ish studying up till the exam (just work through those past papers at an easy pace). It sounds like you are very prepared so I wouldn't worry too much.

If you really feel like you've done enough then just do a couple of hours each day, but go through the bits you're weak on... Don't totally neglect revision!

Reply 5

Ban yourself from studying or thinking about studying.

Soon enough, you'll realise that you need to study and will magically get the energy to study.

Take breaks during the day like see your friends at some point! I find that if I stay inside revising all day I don't have a very prouctive day but if I take breaks I end up doing more!

Reply 7

Take a four day break, and then test yourself to see if you've remembered everything!

take a few days off. when's your first exam? i would say go back to revision maybe 3 or 4 days before your first exam. sounds like youve done a lot already

It sounds like you really need a break! Go out and have fun! And if you're still worried about it in the evening, spend an hour re-capping

Yeah agreed. The more your study, the less you will take in. At this point it's a waste of time. It actually hinders you getting the grades you want. I feel this some time and i spend hours 'studying' when really i've been totally distracted. Not good.

This. In the Jan exams I had a sort of mental breakdown from all the pressure and stress. I found that even 1 day of relaxing honestly really does help. Have a lie in, relax in front of the tv, have a lazy day and then a relaxing bath before bed. The next day you'll find yourself so refreshed and ready to revise/ feel you'll have to crack on after taking a day off. Either way, you'll feel more motivated and ready to work. Good luck!

Ask yourself if you are feeling confident and ready yourself. I once revised so much for an exam that I just wanted it to be over, that is when i knew i had done enough revising. Revise on what you have a lower grade on yet still keep on top on your subjects with higher grades.
