I've fecked my foot right up

Hi everyone, I've got a problem here.

Right today after my results I went into town with a few mates and spent the afternoon knocking a few back (if you know what I mean) anyway I had one too many, and by the time I went back to college was a little too light headed.
Anyway to cut a long story short I was sitting on a desk and it sort of fall back on me - thing is it landed right on my big toe, now at the time it didn't really affect me but as the alcohol wore off the pain increased and now it wrecks. It even hurts to walk :frown:

Anyway I had a look and now it's sort of a black / red / purple colour. Do you think it's just badly bruised or worse?

Badly bruised I'd say. Knock back some paracetamol to kill the pain. Ice may help with the swelling.
Why are you anonymous?
it sounds broken

Go see the doctor.

I wouldnt go and see a doctor. At worst it is broken, at best it is bruised... if it is broken all they will do is tape it to the toe next to it and laugh at you... You could do that yourself in far less time...

Put some cotton wool between the affected toe and the one next to it and tape them together... It will hurt for a few days but will heal quickly.

It's true, they don't do anything about broken toes, they don't even bother to xray most of the time! I managed to break my 3 middle toes all at once, and it absolutely killed. You never realise quite how much we use toes until you damage one!

Hopefully it's not broken and you'll feel better soon:smile:
*cringe*

Ouch you poor thing!!!

A similar thing happened to me last year when I dropped a big framed mirror on my big toe.. Oh the pain..

Theres not much you can do except wait for it to heal.. the tape thing someone mentioned above helps too, as it restricts the movement.

If your nail goes black you can expect to lose that too eventually.

Good times..
