Nope.
If it's only on one prescription then you would only be charged £6.50.

yep just one per item. you can have several items on the same prescription, but its only if they're different items that you get charged for each.

yeah but if ur under 18 or a student you get them for free:wink: well I do at least and I am bloody 22- student life does have good sides

err..you still have to pay if you're a student over 19...

But most students are on low incomes, so it's worth asking for a HC1 form at the pharmacy and filling it in to see if you can get any help.

Or, if you have lots of prescriptions you can get a pre-payment certificate which might save money.

I have a MedEx card - free prescriptions for life, regardless of my income.

However, I asked this question to work out how much my latest prescription would have been had I paid. I've worked out that it's around £40 - £50!

Actually it's under 16. You only get them free when you're 16, 17 and 18 if you're still in full time education (unless one of the other exemptions applies to you.)

To the OP - yeah that would count as one charge. It's also only one charge if you have to have two or more different strengths of the same drug.

Some medication out there does however contain 2 or 3 different tablets in and so people get surprised when they are charged for several items but only recieve one packet. The most comon one I can remeber is Prempak C which has 2 different tablets in it and so incurs 2 sharges.
