Okay I didnt see a thread about this, and I was just wondering....whats the one night stand ratio? Its kind of interresting to see I suppose, I made the poll have 4 options.

So far I've actualy seen interesting results & responses... currently there are more girls that have had a one night stand than guys (almost double!).. why do you think that is? Or is it just that there are less sexualy active guys than girls on this forum..

no..it's gross.. much better to be with one person who you know and trust, rather than with some stranger who is probably riddled with STDs.

i think most people have had them i have had them and its a part of life i think, don't see anything wrong with it (as long as being careful)

A lot of people on here have not had sexual experiences... so you're not going to find out much with this poll.

One-night stands are risky business (less risky than ****friends mind you). Before you have one, you should realise that that's what it is and not hope that it's the beginning of anything.

I've had them in the past but they were with people I knew (albeit vaguely in some cases), not just complete randomers. Back then I was happy being single and it didn't bother me too much having casual sex but now I realise that being in a relationship is much more fulfilling for me personally and I can't imagine acting in the way I used to.

You almost say that as if that's a good thing...

I don't know how you can be comfortable hanging around several people you might have shagged on one or two occasions. You'd simply be "some girl they shagged". Then again people's circle of friends all function differently.

No, what I meant was that they weren't just people I met on a night out, which is a lot of people's definition of a one night stand. They weren't directly in my circle of friends either (not that I'm trying to justify it, I'm just making it clear).

i have had a few one night stands. i cant say i totally regret it. it gave me some great sexual experience and i slept with some very good looking people at times when my confidence levels were low due to a bastard that ruined my teen years

I don't see anything wrong with it aslong as you don't overdo it and you be careful! I had my first one last weekend, after saying I never would, but it just happened and it was awsome, really exciting and fun! I dont think i would with a complete stranger though, this guy was someone I used to work with! But don't have a go at me because I have just came out of a 4 year relationship 2 months ago, and so this is the first time i have been able to experience anything like this! Obviously it doesn't compare to a relationship where u really like the person, nothing better than that, but it was fun none the less and I would do it again.

surely the male/female 1 night stand ratio is going to be even, because it takes the same amount of girls to have a one night stand as it take men.

I dont see any issue with one night stands.

Would never have one. Can't be as good as having sex with someone you love anyway, so wouldn't be as satisfying.

I think your the one whos lacking in 'proper' relationships with your distorted view on the sexualness of women. The only logic I can see to a bloke whos slept around to want to be with a virgin (or near virgin) women is to hide the inadaquacies of their sexual prowess.
They cant be confident within themselves.

Well considering that almost none of the girls I've been with were virgins and were older than me.

The fact you're totally off the mark when talking about virginity just shows how much life experience you lack.

Talking about the risks of going off and having casual sex has nothing to do with virginity. When you've actually been through such experiences, have had friends go through bad experiences, you start to learn that you sometimes have to be careful.
