Bobbly Bras?

Hey
Does anyone else find that after a while their bras (t-shirt style, moulded cup type of thing) go sorta lumpy? Its really annoying, as I only got this one about a month ago:mad:
Is there any way to stop this? Guessing I'm doing something wrong with the washing or something? Thanks xx

I get that problem aswell. It must just be due to the washing machine!
Look at the label because sometimes they have to be hand washed.

nope, mine says machine wash :s-smilie: lol, thanks anyway! xx
might be if you tumble dry it?

:ditto: bras go bobbly when you tumble dry them. I've never tumbled my t-shirt bra and I got it around 8 months ago and it hasn't got any bobbles, so maybe thats why yours has?

Poor quality bra?
Washing too often?

They have these special bags to put bras in for when you wash them so they don't do that.
Stuff in the machine might get stuck on them like zips of trousers etc. Try bunging them inside a pillow case and then putting that in the machine.

It could also be the tumble drying as other posters have said, the moulded bras aren't usually made of the same stuff the usual ones are.

If you mean the Ultimate bras from Debenhams then I have the same problem but I always wash them by hand.

Apparently to prevent this from happening, you can put them inside washing machine bags. And to remove bobbles, you can use a razor, as I have been told. Never tried it, but it might work.
Yeh. i think it is the washing machine thats why from then on i wash my bra with hands

Yeah, even though the labels do say it's ok to machine wash some bras, I wouldn't recommend it. Some of my bras went the same way as yours, but I haven't had any problems since starting to handwash them.

If it's any consolation I think the dips in the cups have gone over time, and some shops even offer a refund if you take the bra back to them and show them what happened to the cups. (I think Marks and Spencer's refunded mine)

Good luck!

By 'bobbly' d'you mean the material on the inside has kind of shrunk and got dips in? So that the inside is a different shape from the material on the outside?

I HATE it when that happens.

Ended up buying all my bras from Virgin Ware because they don't seem to do that. Virgin Ware unfortunately disappeared from my locality quite a long time ago, and now all my bras are grey and icky with age, but not bobbly.

When they go lumpy the way to solve it is to mould them into shape as soon as they come out the washing machine and dont let them near a tumble dryer. My dad used to take my washing out the machine without moudling and i used to go mental; he still doesnt understand to this day!!

Well, I got this problem when i first have my bra...then my mother teached me something...
Some bras are really fragile towards the washing machine...so try to wash them by hands...
it is better for bras to long lasting
you just need to use few detergens and wash them till clean...dun rub or squeeze them too hard...
