Toning Bum

I want to lose weight and tone by bum.
Overall I'm not in bad shape. I am generally slightly fat, but it doesn't look awful or anything as I am quite big boned as in i have ribs that are thick from back to chest, so therefore the bit of fat just sort of acts a layer and people just think that I'm well built. By big problem is I have a fat ass. I know you can't lose weight in a paryticular place so my main aim is to strengthen the muscles in my bum so that it carries the flab better and I will continue to slow lose weight whilst I'm doing this.

Has anyone got and ideas/exercises that would strengthen my ass

Try lying down on one side and lift one leg up several times (either stretched or bend), and then switch sides.

i watched a tv show once which encouraged you to contract your ass muscles all the time: in the car, waiting for a bus etc (just as long as no one can see you). i don't know if it works though

What does it even mean, "carries the flab better"? I don't get it. :confused:

Lol, you guys are weird. Babes, all you've got to do is a few simple muscular exercises a day. I do PE for A2 so you can trust me on this one. I'd recommend squats and sit ups for you! So you could do 20 sit ups - 1 min break - 10 squats - 5 min break *and repeat.. so you could do about 2 -3 circuits 3 times a week. Don't forget to warm up!

If you do PE for A2 then surely you would realise that sit-ups will do nothing for the gluteals because they work the abs.
