Saggy Breasts

Well ever since my early teens my breasts have been getting saggier. I don't wear a bra that much but I am really concerned and insecure about my body.
My breasts are 42 DD and don't seem to stop growing. I know alot of people are suprised that I feel the size is a big problem, but it's not as nice as it seems. I would love to have small/medium sized breasts.

Is there anything I can do? I am 17 btw

Wear a bra. Obviously
Jebus! You could kill someone with boobs that big! You sure its 'sagging' and not just gravity working its wonders on something of large mass?

wear a bra. even people with titchy boobs would get saggy without support!

Lol it possibly could be due to gravity and stretching.

I do wear a bra but it hurts my back so much. Is there anyway I can firm them

Well it's 99% probable that it's because of not wearing a bra.
Go to a special fitter's place, get measured and invest in some good over the shoulder boulder holders, as Bette midler would say.

I'm only a 34D and I couldn't function without a bra...

Are you overweight? (no offense intended) If so, exercise has the obvious advantage of loosing weight and reducing your bra size.

I think that press up type exercises could help: http://www.breasttalk.co.uk/press_ups.asp (I haven't read it all but it might be of some help...)

I like my breasts but we all have something that's not ideal, so don't get yourself down.

No offence taken. I wouldn't say i'm overweight but I would say i do need to tone up a bit.

Are you sure your backsize is 42?

Losing weight might reduce the weight of your breasts and make it more comfortable for you to wear a bra, but it's unlikely to make them less saggy- the opposite in fact. You really should wear a bra- not wearing one makes the breast tissue stretch with the weight, & they'll sag more. A DD cup size isn't all that large, i can't believe wearing a bra makes your back hurt that badly- are you sure you've been measure right? A good fitting bra really is the only way you're going to prevent more sag i'm afraid...& it's an instant uplifter!

Ditto...a 42 back size implies you're overweight, which it sounds like you're not. If you're wearing too large a back size you're probably wearing too small a cup size, & you're carrying the weight of your breasts on your shoulders rather than round your back...that could all explain why you find bras so uncomfortable!

Yes, that probably would help. Nothing to loose from exercising!

Make sure you get a good sports bra beforehand though. I have a similar problem to you (I'm a 40D), and I'm overweight. I recently bought a good level 3 sports bra from M&S. Not exactly sexy, but offers maximum support when I'm jogging and such.

This is why I prefere small boobs they don't sag, you can do some excersises that strengthen the pec muscles Ive heard it makes breasts firmer. I'l get the link hold on.

Yes, that's what I was suggesting. I'm pretty sure it would be rather helpful to saggy breasts if you stick at it enough.

I'm not bein horrible but you say your a 42?? well in this case I take it you are over weight? if so then if you lose weight your breasts should dramatically decrease in size. And the reason they would be sagging is because a lot of them are made up of fat tissue y'know?

Loosing weight isn't neccessarily a cure-all though, as flora said. They will be smaller but not less saggy unless you actively do something to tone them up, that is chest exercises.

yeah I know but it will have a lot to do with it

:dito: what everybody else has said. I know you probably don't wanna hear it but by choosing not to wear a bra you may be enhancing your problem.

Have you ever been properly measured for a bra? You could be experiencing pain due to the fact that the ones you currently own are ill fitting. DD is not that big of a cup size and there really should be no reason why you have to suffer unneccessarily. You could also maybe change the type of bra you're wearing things and try a bra like this:

Ok it might not look that great  but it should be provide a lot of comfort and support, so I think it's worth considering.

In terms of other stuff you could do, excercises targetting the pectoral muscles can help firm and shape the bust line. You should be thinking of stuff like bench presses etc. Don't expect any miracles though as it will take some time before you can see any effects.

Try not to worry too much about it. At the end of the day everyone has parts of their body that they're not happy with and I'm sure that the problem isn't as bad as you imagine. Good luck and WEAR A BRA :p:
