Another confusing love dillema

Hey everyone,
I bumped into a lad a few weeks ago, and so far ive met up with him twice since ( i know its not a lot but ive known him for years). Basically both times ive ended up just going round to his place, where we just had a bit of fun,watched dvds etc. Both times he has said hes had a really good time. The bad thing is he never has any credit, so when i speak to him its got to be off his mates phone, so on friday night he texted me asking me if i was ok and what was i upto etc. I texted back a few hours later and he didnt reply and still hasnt!
I dont want to get into a relationship as i want to get to know him better as over the years we lost touch a bit so its a bit like a new friendship if you get me? Well anyway last time i saw him he told me he didnt want a relationship and wanted to let me know so he wasnt leading me on. I didnt think anything of this at the time but now im thinking was this way of him saying that even if we got to know each other better he still wouldnt want a relationship? Hes told me that he doesnt sleep with people unless in relationship which is good because hes not pressurising me into anything.
The only times ive spoken to him on phone is when hes rang me and hes out with his mates although when ive met up with him he hasnt been drunk. Does this mean he only feels need to speak to me if hes had a few beers?
Ive texted him before, but its quite pointless as he never has credit, he told me to ring him but i told him no he should ring me :wink:

I was thinking he had gone me but then i dont know because seeing as he texted me it might mean otherwise?
