6packs for girls

ok i have always had real issues with my stomach (basically i hate it) no matter how thin i am my stomach is always round and tubby and never ever flat. I dont weigh a great deal (about 8st and im about 5ft7) so my body fat shud be fairly low. since about late january ive been going to the gym for an hour three to four times a week and doing alot of running and sit ups. on my stomach i do -
75 crunches (3sets of 25)
25 crunches with twists (1 set of 25)
and do that thing where u hold yourself up on your forearms using your stomach to keep u up and rigid ( i do this for a minute on front and 45 seconds each side)
this always seems enough of a work out when i do it but the results arent realy showing. my stomach is firm when i tense it but its always been relatively firm but not really when i dont. does anyone know how long it shud be b4 i have visible definition without tensing my stomach. or am i not doing enough.
any advice welcome (but just b4 anyone says yes i do do crunches properly)

Keep trying with the routine!

In the meantime Have you tried slimming pants to wear under your clothes, they make your belly nice and firm.
Well it doesnt happen overnight, it takes quite a while. Have you got someone advising you on a workout thats best for you? If you like I can put you in contact with my brother who can recommend one?

How much running exactly do you do?

fewer but higher resistance stomach exercises, more cardio.

Six packs on girls look... wrong.

just thought id point out that girls cant get 6 packs - they get 4 packs cos they dont have abs.

they dont look wrong when they're just nice and toned with just liney bits.. like the lead singer of the pussycat dolls - hers is perfect!

erm, you're wrong.

Pecs (which Women DO ahve) have nothing to do with the 6-pack, it's the Abs.

'six packs' on girls look great, as long as they don't go all body-builder.
To be fair, I think it's more difficult for girls than boys to get a six-pack - probably some kind of spillover effect (no pun intended) of having breasts - so the OP shouldn't really worry about that. Have a *reasonably* flat stomach as your intended finish point rather than a six-pack. Also, remember that a lot of guys don't like girls to be too muscular as they feel inferior. Playing the percentages, you probably want a slim stomach that isn't very toned if your objective is to be as attractive to guys as possible.

:ditto: Toned = :top:, but 6-pack = :thumpdown

Oh Jesus, that looks awful! Ewwww!
I used to have a relatively defined fourpack with the last two less defined, but I wasn't keen on how it looked. Now I just have the line that runs down the middle and a sort of outline (does that make sense?) of where the pack would be. I Think the 'bodybuilder' definition, or that of some athletes is too much for the everyday female. The pic below is the limit to what i'd say was an attractive tone.

What's weird is that she has very average biceps, and little to no tone on the thighs and forearms. Photoshopped?

By crunches do you mean your going back and forwrds till your chest hits your knees.

The best and most effective way to do crunches is to lie on your back, legs together, palms resting on base of thighs, them move up untill ur hands reach your knees no further. then back down slowly and repeat. Do some of them. Bloody hurts.

Another one is lie on the floor, lift your out straight legs about a foot of the floor and hold for as long as possible.
