It annoys me how a Tourism degree can get slated so much as not being a proper degree.

Due to being a Tourism student i have managed to get a job working for my local tourism board concentrating on the marketing aspects of things. Were it not being a Tourism student i doubt i would have been given the job at all.

As someone mentioned tourism covers a wide range of different areas and there are so many different jobs involved. The fact it does cover the general things like Finance and Economics and also looks towards the Tourism side of things is a good thing.

Maybe if you'd done a proper degree you would have learned to appreciate that your anecdotal evidence tells us absolutely nothing about the nature of a tourism degree.
