a PILL that doesnt make you GAIn weight

ok so i tried some stupid pill that made me put on weight, did my head in, it begins with a C....citizirrree...something along those lines. i put on half a stone so came off it at first opportunity and promptly lost weight. then i tried the injection, it was great, no hassles, didnt even realise i was eating more until i found out i was again half a stone heavier. now this whole gaining weight thing has completely put me off the pill, i really dont want to be on something that a) messes up my body anyway and b) makes me put on half a stone. since comin off the injection ive had NO periods whatsoever (can take a year apparently!) and lost even more weight than i was originally regardless of the fact i stopped going to the gym and eat far too much chocolate. will someone please tell me of a NICE pill that wont affect my appetite or my weight? and also, can i go on another pill straight away or do i need to wait for the bloody injection effects to wear off (ie, i get a period again!) please help, ive been put off contraception which kinda puts me off having sex as i think comdoms ruin sex for guys!
each person is different, the key is unforunately to keep switching. Also, self restraint, make a note of what it is you eat and stop when its too much!

Dont like the sound of not knowing when you might suddenly have a period! Nasty!

Also, are you on the micro (pop) pill, or the combined? Coz they would normally give you microgynon which most people find is ok!

Each person responds differently to the pill, so asking people on a forum is pretty useless.
Go to your doctor and discuss contraception options with him/her- they are the best source of information as they know what they are talking about!!

Yasmin is one that supposedly doesn't make you put on any weight. I was on Microgynon before and put on weight but after a few months off the pill my weight returned to normal and I was put on Yasmin and haven't had any problems with it. It's definitely worth a try, I know a few people have tried it and found the same effects as me.
ye, if you give up too quickly, you dont give your body long enough to become adjusted to the added hormones so you wont get a chance to normalise so to speak

You were probably on cerazette - which does have the side-effect of making you put on weight.

I was put on ovranette to begin with but went back to the docs after a week or so because my spots got 100x worse and I put on a fair bit of weight even in that week. I got put on dianette which has the benefit of being an acne treatment as well as a contraceptive pill.

Like others have said, go back to your GP and tell them - there's a wide range of pills on the market; it's just a case of finding which one suits you best.
