OK, I did not want to be mean... but given the fact that Clarence was rejected from Edinburgh and got an offer from Glasgow it does make sense, doesn't it?

The phrase "Well, duh!" comes to mind.

You certainly don't mince your words do you! Please take a dictionary and look up the word "tact" immediately, then apply it to everything you say and even think.
Adding to that, Glasgow does have an extremely well-renowned social life. More gigs and stuff than Edinburgh...so I hear.

OK, calm down, there's no reason to get overexcited and offensive...I have apologized and that's it.

Me offensive? That's laughable.

I don't wanna argue with anyone...SORRY CLARENCE...that is it - I just had 3 hours of play rehearsal, I have quite a lot of work to do and arguing with a crumpet is the last thing I want to do...

If you enjoy being beaten into the ground by NEDs it is.

Edinburgh however is wonderful, cheep drinks, deacent music, very few neds so you dont have to worry about being mugged or beaten up when you are drunk.

Yeah... I've heard there's a better variety of gigs and clubs to go to but I decided Glasgow wasn't for me. I'm not the biggest partier
And yes, neds...

I have enough Neds in my own hometown - half of my school is made up of them.

Anyway. I didn't ask for an opinion on whether Glasgow has a better social life than Edinburgh. I want to know about Edinburgh's social life and what exactly students get up to in their free time.

Good...that's what I was basically trying to say some days ago but I got 'attacked' by C is for Crumpet...

This is about Edinburgh, not Glasgow...

You seem to think I have "wronged" you somehow when in fact all I have done is defend someone over a rather thoughtless, insensitive comment made on your behalf. If there was any attack made, it was by you. I'm purely on the defensive. And as it happens, I don't recall you saying anything of the sort. Perhaps you would care to clarify...how exactly is "Is it because you got rejected from Edinburgh???" the same as "This is about Edinburgh, not Glasgow"?

Now to the social life in Edinburgh...I'm not much of a party animal either, but I really love theatre and art galleries and things like that and that's what attracted me to the city on the social side of things.

Yes, yes. I'm not approving of mean little remarks like 'Is it because you got rejected from Edinburgh?' but really - I don't want to know about Glasgow - I want to know about Edinburgh's social life.

Ditto.

Anybody know any theatre groups that do musicals in Edinburgh?

Really, I got the impression that Bedlam only did plays?

Clarence  You really can't let go of the grudge you have against Edinburgh, eh? Can I get you a punch bag with the admissions officers face on it?

(My friend made an animated dart board of the St Andrews admissions officer. That made me laugh ^_^)
If you are a movie buff like me, there is a great Film club and about 3 cinemas very close to the main campus.

Just wanted to say that I spent four FANTASTIC years studying at Edinburgh! It's a great city with loads to see and do! I love going out and partying and there were plenty of parties and nights out during my four years!! Whatever you're into - you'll find it in Ed! And yes Glasgow is better for gigs and concerts (but it's not exactly difficult to get to from Ed so..) but personally I think Edinburgh is just so much nicer and generally more fun all round!! So enjoy!!!!
