Do they? It seems every time i get a scratch on my arm and get a scab as a result of it, a scab forms but it always seems to get knocked off for whatever reason and leaves a red scar? Is there anyway to avoid this as i seem to have a few red patches.

Sorry if it sounds horrible.
Thanks
I fell off my bike a few years back and ended up with a scab that kept getting knocked off. I do have a scar but it isn't anywhere near the size of the original wound.
some do and some don't it seems. also it also depends when the scab falls out, like i'm not sure but if you remove it early enough, you don't leave a scar or any sign behind but i think if you let it fall off naturally you do get a scar sometimes. i can't remember because i get both instances occuring.
When I was little I always picked my scabs so they'd bleed and form another scab... I kept doing it until there was a scar. I always did it (don't know why!) but now you can't see any of the scars I used to have, so they will gradually fade in time.
