I'm writing a research paper in linguistics about English house.
Please, tell me what associations you have with the words HOME and HOUSE.
Mention ypur age and occupation, if possible.

Thanks a lot.

When I think of HOME I think of my family, and my childhood. Thinking of HOME has many associated memories. HOUSE has fewer personal connotations. When I think HOUSE I tend to picture my own future house and what that will be like. Hope this helps.

Home is something warm, comforting, and linked with family. Also, it feels more about the interior of the building, whereas the house is a general utilitarian dwelling that everyone lives in.
