Most guys do from what I see, but I NEVER EVER EVER EVER use them! They look just so embarassing! I always go in the cubicle, and I even feel uncomfortable being in a cubicle if somebody else is in the near vicinity. The reason why it has always been this way is probably because I was used to going to an "ordinary" toilet so I just continued using them in public ones.

meh. whats so embarrasing?
:ditto: My sentiments exactly. Nothing embarrasing about urinals, unless you have them in your bathroom like a mate does :p: Actually, that's just weird.

Having to "get it out" for one thing, (well not completely but you know what I mean) and standing there while urine pours out in front of everyone, and for some reason I can never urinate in the vicinity of another person - even if I am desperate to go to the toilet, if I see somebody looking at me, the urge always disappears.

I'm quite happy to use them, but it does seem a bit odd when you think about it.

I was in a pub in Glasgow once and an old drunk fellow staggered in, went up beside some guy at the urinal and loudly observed "here pal, that's a rare* cock you've got there."

I believe the first urinator was rather lost for words.

Is it because boys think they've got a small wang, or something?

To the OP why the anon?

I hate urinals. I'll reluctantly go if there's dividers; if not i won't bother. It just feels awkward and i get a nervous bladder. I was at a music festival and i didn't sue the urinals once. They were plastic and opposite each other so while you're pissing you're looking right at some other guy which just seemed way too weird for me.

Why do some people use them and others don't. I heard there put in schools to encourage male bonding?!!?

If anyone tried to 'bond' with me at a urinal I'd knock their teeth out.

I will use them if there are dividers, but only if the queue to a normal toilet is large. Just far more relaxing to not use a urinal, and much less dirty...

I doubt that :p: They're just standard in male public toilets. I always used to think that it was instinctive not to urinate in front of others, e.g. when we lived in the wild, and a predator was approaching, urinating would render us more vulnerable, but this doesn't seem to be the case for most guys.
For me, going to the toilet is private, I can't have anyone looking at me - would you want people to be able to walk by you while you are masturbating? Most likely no - same with urinating for me.
