Discharge = Cross-sectional area X Velocity (Metres Cubed per Second)

I've worked out the CSA however when i measured velocity i took 3 reading 1 on the left side ,middle and the right side. My question is for a level geog coursework should I just calculate the average velocity of the 3 readings or ?

Thanks for any help in advance.
