Hey Everyone. I’ve had this annoying little skin condition for as long as I can remember but I’ve only recently discovered the name and the cause I have it on my arms and legs. Does anyone else out there have this? Chances are you might have thought it was some kind of acne or eczema. It’s a completely benign skin condition, and because of this, there’s not a lot of research being done on it. Some information can be found on this forum: http://www.keratosispilaris.org/forumdisplay.php?f=2 along with a lot of different remedies people have tried.

From what I can make out it’s a Vitamin A deficiency, the skin isn’t able to shed keratin and this keratin collects around the hair follicles causing the redness and the bumps. I’m currently trying Cod Liver Oil tablets due to the high Vitamin A and D content, but it’s only been a few days so no results yet..

Has anyone out there had any luck treating this condition?
I think I have what you are talking about. It comes and goes. Never tried treating it, wasnt really aware it was a condition.

I get it on my legs and arms.

Though now you mention it, ever since I have been taking Cod Liver Oil pods I have been clear!

I have the same skin condition also on my upper arms and when I wen to see the doctor he said to expose it to the sun when you can in the summer and didn't suggest any medicines or vitamins. He said that i would grow out of it and not to worry because its a very common condition.

Sounds good to me  Here's hoping it works on mine.

It's really common but not everyone grows out of it. It doesn't bother me too much but I would like it gone. I'm not about to spend 3 hours a day treating it like a lot of people do, but if one Cod Liver Oil Tablet a day will get rid of it then I'm happy.
