would less people come on UKL if the 'main' page of the forum was omitted? it seems to divide different types of people having so many subforums, so you don't get so much diversity, and the threads are less intersting (imo). what does everyone else think?

i think this should be in the 'About...' subforum, but hey.

Scrap this 'Main' and create a new 'Chit Chat forum'. I prefer to spend less time on this bit.

It's annoying clicking back and forth between the different subforums....and esp when you're on say uni...and you need to get to academic...and there's no direct link!

There is! In the top left under "uk-learning.net - the uk student forum" if you click on the links there it takes you to the various forums...

I think that there shouldnt be a "main forum" since quite often people put all threads here since it is more likely to be replied to but if there was a seperate eg "off topic" forum the other forums might be used more.

I really don't like the new subforums?
If "debates and discussions" has a subforum, what are we meant to talk about here?

There should be a big link to the chatroom, we really could use that thing.
