Apollo Court anyone?!

Hey

I'm going to LJMU in Sept and my first choice accommodation is Apollo Court :wink:

anyone else going there? or already there?

apollo court isnt great, i was in capital gate, was good enough just not hugely social. The best socail unite one is cambridge court next to the font bar, although the facilities arent as good, has more of a student village feel to it!

Apollo is now a LJMU first year hall so there should be lots of freshers parties :biggrin:

unite is a private company that is the provider of the accomodation. unite guarentee a certain number of rooms to JMU and so u can apply through JMU to get ur room, but u will still be in halls with people from UofL, Lippa and Hope as well as JMU.

hopefully be more freshers parties going on as the halls are getting older and more established but would still recrommend cambridge court.

Oh I see. I'll have to make it good :smile:

Think i'll be in a flat with just freshers.

Because Grand central is also Unite does that mean I can use the facilities there like the gym?

if you pay yeah, its about £60 for the year. not sure. cant remember, havent been in liverpool for ages!

I got my room confirmed! i'll be on the second floor of block A!! I really can't wait til Sept. The rooms look so nice! :biggrin:

i wanted to go to apollo next year but its only jmu 1st years and im at liverpool and will be going into second year. :frown:

its got the best location for enginerring, earth science and closest to the union, but cambridge court, arrad house etc are prob best for geog, language, english.

I have now applied to capital gate, which is closest to my building, earth science,

any questions?? jus ask, im in the area every day!!! :smile:

yes theres plenty of shops and bars, apollo court is realy close to the guild of students, which has a few bars, and also close to a small tesco, a largish liddel, and some mini marts, a couple of bars and pubs only minutes away.

and town is only a bit further, so your sorted staying at apollo. Also youll be right near me at capital gate :p:

nah havnt been in them, went to have a look and got shunned and got told it was for 1st year jmu only, but hopefully be at capital gate next year so may see you around who knows??? a tsr reunion, lol :tsr2:
