Hello all!

I'll be staying in Apollo too. I went there a few weeks ago, aswel as Grand Central and Marybone 3.

Apollo was best overall. Grand Central is massive. The pictures dont show how big the place is!

Apollo is situated on a side road off a busy road, however there is enough distance to not hear the traffic sound.

I reached the gates, which needed a card, or a fob thing to open, and was taken for a show around the place, and inside the show rooms. The rooms felt the best quality out of the three that I visited that day. The bathroom looked modern, and the kitchen was big, with many cupboards, a dining table and a seating area at the end of the room, with a coffee table. A nice shinny kettle too!

The woman who took me around wasnt the most interesting of people, but who cares!! :biggrin:

I think, having gone around GC and Marybone us lot have picked the best accomadation!

I look forward to seeing you lot for real come Sept! :cool:

totally agree with that i saw grand central and it put me off straight away at how big the place was.

apollo court is no further than 5 minutes walk from centre (all though it is up a bit of a hill) not the best after a night on the alcohol.

room looked modern enough,, bedroom area was a bit bigger than i was expecting but the bathroom wasnt the most spacious

there is storage under the beds for suitcases or bedding etc.

the internet has two different priced packages depending on the speed you want, think one is £3.99 and the other is £6.99 p/week. all thats needed is an ethernet cable.

living/kitchen area is big enough

think that the woman told me that in block A and C there are 7 people sharing so there is a dining table and two sets of fridge-freezers

and in Block B there is only 5 sharing so will only be a breakfast table.

there is no tv provided in the living area either

and i totally agree that the woman who showed me round wasnt the most enthusiastic of people i've met.

role on the 10th when i move in

what room numbers are you all in?

i'm in 34 block B

Hey evry one, i was readin these forums and i was well lovin it. danielle your going apollo court. i dont no you like but im guessin i will cos im going to. my room is blck b flat 28. so wer not that far apart i guess. youve been talkin bout gettin pissed and evrthin i just can wait. just gunna b ace in this accomodation. i went liverpool for a nite out a few weeks ago and i went ther to hav a look its quality. if any one wants hav a chat and that add me [email protected]

Thanks for that info peeps...That puts my mind at rest as I havent even been to see the place yet!

I'm in block A (flat7) so i'll have 6 flatmates! :biggrin:

Shame about the tv as I was told there would be one in the living area :frown:

We have a widescreen in the common room though, right?

I'm moving in either 9th or 10th. (thats about 3wks, 5days!!)
