I am waiting for my results to be released in Sept'04 before I can apply for Law in the UK Universities for enrolment in 2005. But I am at a dilema on what are the 6 Universities that I should pen down in my UCAS Form.

I would certainly appreciate if you could rank the 8 universities according to your preference

University of Bristol
University of Manchester
University of Leicester
University of Exeter
University of Sheffield
University of Southampton
University of Liverpool
University of Birmingham

I need more opinions hehe.. so keep the views coming in Lotsa Thanks...

But some of the forumers posted that University of Leicester and Exeter are better than University of Birmingham for Law.

Do you mind shedding some light on why you think University of Birmingham is better?

the above link links you to the times ranking. It shows that birmingham is higher in the ranking than both leicester and exeter. Also birmingham's university is quite big and it is pretty renowned in England (comparing to leicester and exeter anyways). Have you considered other universities in the top 10/20?

Well, first, I will make a pass for all London Uni. Second, my country only recognised these UK Universities for Law, i have emailed some of them about a uni-uni transfer.... the results are as follow:

Birmingham - accept
Bristol - accept
Cambridge - still waiting
Durham - still waiting
Exeter - accept
Leeds - still waiting
Leicester - accept
KCL - London Uni
LSE - London Uni
Queen Mary - London Uni
UCL - London Uni
SOAS - London Uni
Manchester - accept
Nottingham - still waiting
Oxford - still waiting
Southampton - accept
Liverpool - accept
Sheffield - accept
Warwick - still waiting

Hence the above choices.

Sheffield were top 10 guardian rating for law last year the only reason they are not higher now is because some of their assessments are old and therefore have dropped off the scale. They are a lot better than their ranking suggests. Sheffield was also the Sunday Times university of the year in 2001 and a new survery suggests that it is regarded as 18th in Europe and 7th in the UK.
