a) a = (v-u)/t

b) F = ma ------------- using acceleration from part (a)

Draw a triangle with the components of F in the i and j directions and use tan to work out the angle.

A constant force, F acts on a particle P of mass 5 kg causing its velocity to change from (-2i + j) m/s to (4i-7j)m/s in 2 seconds.

a) Find, in the form ai + bj, the acceleration of P

b) show that the magnitude of F is 25 N and find, to the nearest degree, the acute angle between the line of action of F and the vector j.

a)thanks so much xxx

v=(4i-7j)
u=(-2i+j)
t=2
v=u+at
(4i-7j)-(-2i+j)=(6i-8j)
(6i-8j)=2a
a=(3i-4j)

b)(3^2+4^2)^0.5=5 hence a=5 m=5 f=ma 5x5=25 not sure about the angle
