test ? are you a mature student ?

Yeah. I assumed (wrongly!) that everyone had a test. What was your interview like?

Well, if you've been asked to write a short 200 word essay, make sure you have it out before you go into the interview room, as i put it in my folder and then couldnt find it, so i literally had to go through all my folder to find it ....not an impressive start. lol

erm..the interview as about 10mins long

Why physio?
Why Sheffield Hallam?
What can you offer us?
Have you got any teamwork skills? Any evidence of this?

pretty much the basic questions

Hi Sheffield Hallam rang me last week and they wanted to invite me for interview and sit a written test/exam. I was told it's because I'm a mature student and I've not done anything academic for a while (not actually true!). She said the exam was to see how you interpret and present scientific data. I think you are given a scientific report/published paper and you have to answer questions on it - pull out the relevant information etc.

I'm sure its nothing to worry about.
Good luck.

Oh poop. A scientific paper? I am quite rusty. Well, I can only do my best. I really hope I do ok in my Sheffield Hallam test I don't want them thinking I'm thick! lol

Hey don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll be fine. They are not trying to trip you up, they have asked you for interview and to sit the test because they want you as a student. Think positively.

I've decided not to go to my interview. Its unlikely I'll accept a place if I was offered (as I have an unconditional offer nearer to home) so I thought it was silly to put myself through an interview and test when I don't need to.

Good luck with yours.
