Staying up all night to do uni work!

Bascially, i came got home from uni on thurs at 3.30pm, had friday off, and did 3 hours of uni work in the two days, i was chilling on msn and watching tv. The plan was to study today, and go cinema with a friend!

But, the manager at work called me to work from 11-7, got home at around 8, and studied from 8-11 straight, now i am gonna chill to 12, and finish off my uni work, from 12-4 or 5, and need to get up for 10 tomorrow for work!

serves me right for chilling on the two days when i am suppose to be studying!

so, whats everyone doing?

i feel kinda sad, 'cause its a saturday, but uni is more important

anyone here staying up doing school work?

no. sorry. im asleep in my lovely bed. can't you do it tomorrow night?
Well, I am doing some very intensive studying over the coming few days, and will probably get bugger all sleep because of it, as there is some coursework that I need to do, along with a few uni assignments.

I'm good at this. The staying up all night does work, for me anyway, but then I thrive under stress. I'm weird like that.

I might be tonight, I've got enough reading to do for an essay. Bit of a pain in the backside, ah well, I ought to be online all night.
I'm doing some work on a dissertation on "the politics of the International space station programme"

I've got 6,500 words so far…needs to be 8,000 by next week as I need to give a draft in to my supervisor!

How would you research something like that? It seems a bit obscure!

I did that last Saturday night. I was fed up with taking forever over essays so I thought '**** it, I'll do it all in one night and get it out of the way' and I got most of it done. I was like yeeeh baby  I didnt really need to though and finished it 2 weeks early

Yeah, well, the library had hardly any of the books I needed, so I’ve had to buy all of them myself some from the USA. Added to that, the library only subscribes to a journal on space policy back to 1995, so I haven’t been able (despite all my efforts!) to get any of the articles covering the 1980’s and early 1990’s.

You’d be surprised how much material there is available on the subject!

I had a work crisis last week which resulted in working through the night on Thursday. Thank god that's over, the relief...

Term ended for us a long week ago now  , haven't done too much work, especially considering I have exams when I return and my tutor is expecting me to get a mid-to-high first  . I will get down to it eventually, I just hope I don't leave it until the night before like last term.

Never did get mine done, sat up all night and watched Father Ted.
I do all nighters every weekend. Comes with the territory of soing student theatre...

Take out the previous week's show midnight Saturday-2 am, then rig the next show 2 am- 9 am Sunday or so...

and then do 16 hour's work in the theatre for the next few days, sleeping for 8 hours. THEN try and catch up with the academic work once the show is running... fun fun fun!

I've never worked between 11pm-8am. Woo!
I usually don't finish work till 4am, so when you have to be up at 7am it normally a better idea to go without sleep
