Greasy Skin

Hi, i don't get spots, however i have really greasy skin in i suppose what is regarded as the "T-Zone". The rest of my face is ok, i.e. cheeks.

I use baby soap in the morning when i wash my face, and already use ointments as i have done for years from my doctor.

Is there anything I can do to stop my skin getting so horribly greasy? or will i just have to leave it be until i'm older? (currently 18) If it makes any difference i am male.

Have you tried blotting paper? Also, salicylic acid can work a treat.

I think that the food you eat is meant to be really important. Make sure you have a properly balanced diet and fruit and veg.

I have the same problem. My mum's skin is just naturally greasy too (as we both have rather dark hair and slightly "tanned" skin you might sa). The way I deal with it is, everytime I go to the toilet, after washing my hands I just splash a load of water on my face with my hands, and I feel and look so much better just for doing that. Although I usually have to do it once or twice I day, it just stops my pores feeling really clogged up and stuff by the end of the day.

Ditch the soap, it dries your skin out and makes it produce more oils to try to rehydrate itself.

Clarins Lotus Oil works becasue it mimicks the skins own oil but doesn't block pores. The skin thinks it's got enough oil and doesn't produces excess. You only use it at night though.

Then there's anything with Jojoba - it breaks down sebum.
