yes it is true x
Yeah, no one gives a damn if you're gay or not. Society has evolved a bit from the caveman days. I'm so glad not everyone thinks like this or I'd be a single girl...
I'm only 17 but I just recently got a second piercing on my ear and well you should wait atleast 6 weeks but what people are not factoring in is whether or not you are a fast healer. My first piercing healed in about a week and a half but then I'm a fast healer some people heal faster then others I'm not saying yours will heal in that short amount of time it may take you 3 weeks or all 6 weeks
Healing is important and do not touch your ears as it can lead to infection.
By the date of this comment you have probably already had it don't but with my ears I just couldn't resist taking them out so I would wait about three weeks at the most but to be on the safe side I would wait about 5 weeks

How long does it take for your skin to heal over stud earrings

I REALLY want to pierce my ears and can't really wait, however, I have a job interview in 3 weeks... So since I'm a guy, I was thinking of taking them out during the interview... But they would close in the hour the interview would last, wouldn't they?

Any new jewellery placed within a lobe piercing should be fully autoclaved before use, lobe jewellery should optimally be left in for 3 months minimally to allow the fistula to stabilise and prepare for jewellery changes.

For the love of all things holy and safe, DO NOT go to somewhere that pierces with a gun:

-Guns aren't autoclaveable, meaning aerolized blood which may contain Hep C, HIV Virus etc IS STILL ON THE GUN
-Guns rip a hole through the flesh, which leads to traumatic crush injury of the healing tissue, lengthening the healing period.[
-Gun studs aren't adequately long enough to accommodate the swelling of the healing tissue.
-They aren't cleaned or sterilised in a medically recognised way. How would you like it if your surgeon cleaned his clamps with an alcohol swab before performing a procedure?

Seriously, read this, written by the governing body of body piercers: http://www.safepiercing.org/piercing/faq/#guns

Visit a professional and get it done with a needle. They will be able to advise you best on how to treat your piercing and jewellery changes.

I'm a professional piercer, trust me on this one. You only get one set of earlobes, don't screw about with them.

Please help me! I recently got my ears pierced with a gun and it became infected and they are so swollen that my earring is sinking into my ear! I'm getting very worried and I don't know what to do! Can someone please advise me in something, I would prefer not to close the hole. Help please!! Only had it in for a week!!!

It is possible to remove the earring after having it newly pierced and replacing it with a new one. I did it when I got my second holes pierced on my ear lobes and decided to buy a pair of cheap piercing earrings from claires because I had a really nice pair of gold ones at home from my first lobe piercings and didnt want to pay £40 again.

I regret it looked back as it was awfully painful trying to remove the earrings and my ears bled quite a lot afterwards.

So it is possible but I would not recommend it

My former school teacher used to say only puffs and pirates wear earrings and you don't look like a pirate. (Politically incorrect but valid?)
Oh thank god you're not gay! We won't start the witch hunt now good job you told us! Imagine if we thought you were gay!! The horror!!

hi i am a male ( not gay ) and am getting my ear pierced soon and have found a earring i really like however i heard you have to wait 6 weeks before you can put your own one in ?

is this true ?

When I had mine pierced, you could bring your own and they put it straight in as long as it was pure gold or silver
Soo i could change um before 6 weeks n nothing will happen
It doesent matter if your gay or not
