I'm new here, currently studying my final year of A-Levels and intending on attending the University of Leicester from September this year to read Law.
My question is, are there many student of Middle-Eastern heritage/descent in attendance at the university? This would include Arabs, Iranians, Turks and Kurds. Any feedback on this would be most appreciated.
Well I'm half Iraqi myself (and half Irish) and I'd like to be able to meet other Arabs/Middle-Easterners when I go to this university. Do you know if there are many there?
Do you know if there are many other Arabs at Leicester though? Does this half Iraqi friend associate with other Arabs at all, could you possibly ask on my behalf? I would appreciate it a lot.
Sorry for the late reply, just read this today, but there are quite a lot of Arabs in the University of Leicester. I've met quite a few arabs. And if I'm not mistaken there is even an Arab Society
And theres quite a few Middle Eastern people in Leicester as well.
The university (and the whole city, really) is extremely multi-cultural in general and there are some Arabs around... not many though (to my knowledge, anyway)... don't think there's a society either, sorry.
Fruity juice, I am thinking to relocate to Leicester, but I want to make sure there is a good Arab society in this area. Can you please share your experience?
