I would say personality needs to be considered equally (an emphasis on making sure you do this) cos so many people tend to overlook whether a decent conversation with their partner can be achieved or not until its too late.

I'm going to say it really depends on the situation. If one is in a club and sees a girl it's going to be a pure physical attraction. I can't be interested in a girl unless there is that physical attraction; obviously personality is something important to me and what would keep us together in the long term. I've had a time when i had a conflict between personality and looks and i did choose personality over looks.

I would choose personality overall but you do need attraction to start off with so I kinda don't agree with people who just say personality and thats it.

This thread has been done many times before, anyway if I had to pick between the two, I would personally go for personality, however if I was to have a potential boyfriend, I would want to be attracted to the person in both looks and personality. :redface:

If I'm not attracted to the person and the person has a great personality, he/she would be a good friend. :biggrin:

I would go out with someone who was all looks and no personality for a brief spell, i would never go out wiht someone who was no looks and all personality....

however i would say that personality is more important, but it HAS to have some looks with it.....
