Hi mjf, why are you choosing Liverpool over Edinburgh? Edinburgh is a more prestigous uni than Liverpool and I've heard that the Medicine at Edinburgh is very good.

Wini.

Also, I thought you had to decide between Edinburgh and Bristol.

Liverpool has topped the veterinary tables two years in a row over universities such as Bristol, Edinburgh, and even Cambridge and the Royal Veterinary College in London so in veterinary fields it is very much respected. It has also a lot more money being ploughed into the vet school this year with its centenary and so a new small animal hospital and other facilities including accommodation are being provided. At one stage I only had offers from Bristol and Edinburgh but then I got two more offers for vet med from RVC and Liverpool. After visiting Liverpool I knew that that was probably going to be more me - the course, staff and students just seemed right. Liverpool has so much more going for it than some people think and Im proud to say that I am going there.

Ok, now I understand. I hope you do well in your A-Levels and have an enjoyable time at Liverpool!

Shall I make this thread into one like the members at university one, in groups depending on University? Might make it easier to see....

Firm: University of Bristol
Course: Civil Engineering with Study in Continental Europe
Offer: ABB

Insurance: UMIST
Course: Civil Engineering with French
Offer: BBB

After the january exams, results have meant that, barring a freak P5 result, if I miss Bristol, I'll miss UMIST. I need 1 UMS point out of 90 on it to get an A overall, so if I miss Bristol it'll be by getting a C in something meaning I also miss UMIST's offer. Still, I'm confident of getting into Bristol.
