Could anyone tell me if self-catering accomodation is available to first years at St. Andrews? I know there are some self-catering rooms, but have been told they are only really for 2nd/3rd years... If there are some for first-years, are those residences (like Fife, Albany etc) ages away from the centre of the town (lectures/shops etc)? Thankyou for any help xxx

i *think* there are some self catering places for first years but don't quote me on that. i went up to the open day last week but only checked out the catered places. surely there is an option to self cater though, it only makes sense being as its possible to self cater at all other uni's.
