I help out at a hospice on Sunday afternoons. Our duties comprise taking a tea and coffee trolley round the patients and some chatting as we go, but most of the work is clearing up after the meals, washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchenette. We are provided with a blue tabard which I quite enjoy wearing. It's necessary to wear some kind of protective clothing in the Patient areas, and if we didn't have a tabard, I would wear a pinny to keep my clothes clean whilst working. We get a clean one each time so we don't have to look after them. The washing up machine is so hot that we need rubber gloves to unload it. Mine are blue to match my tabard.Reply 16
