Working with Guys

I'm a girl, 19. I'm in uni.
whenever it comes to working in groups for homeworks and projects and so on, I usually prefer working with guys. I usually work with 2 other guys, so I am the only girl in the group.
It works far better. I dunno why. The guys I work with are just friends... but i dunno whether its because we have the same working style or what.
When I worked with a group of girls before it was far too complicated , but with guys its way easier

I dont know if anyone here is the same? any comments?

Maybe the guys you work with, are not that interesting and so you can concentrate on your work much better  and when your with girls, they tend to have lots of interesting gossips about people and things (Well when I'm with my girl mates,I tend to talk loads and there's always people telling us to 'SHHH' in the library.)... ohhh well :p:

Haha, well done for saying what everyone else is thinking.

But seriously, and in no way is this intended to offend anyone, but blokes tend to get on with it, whereas girls tend to fanny about, being all namby pamby, powder me nose hang on while I pluck my fingernails and polish the cat. You're probably an exception and think more like a bloke and so find it easier working with them.

UtterNutter, your posts...I'm too tired at 11pm to start an argument, but...I'm not really sure if you're parodying a particular type of 'laddish' behaviour, or if you're serious. If I hadn't already neg.repped you once today I'd do it again for your pathetic use of outdated sexual stereotypes.

Maybe you prefer to work with boys because they are more laid-back about their work? When I have worked with girls, they either tend to all want to dominate the group, or to all be really quiet and useless and let me do everything. I know these seem like generalisations, but they're just what I have experienced. Obviously you can get groups of girls who work together successfully, but boys tend to have less personality clashes.

Because they make you look more intelligent by comparison?

Yeah that's true.

Reply 13

Or maybe its becasue you find it easier to control the guys and get your way, even subconciously. Guys are likely to defer to a girl in a similar situation.

Reply 14

It's cause you can control the guys like FateToBlackout said. If you get a group of girls together, you'd be in the background a lot more.

Reply 15

yeah its usually easier to get along with guys and if its only 1 girl in the group it sure makes a difference  but thats not always true coz some guys could be annoying or careless etc

so once you find the people who have the same working style , its great, and if they're guys thats even better

oh I work better with guys, but most of the ones I've met are lazy bums and I end up doing all the work. But sometimes I get in a group with a really sweet guy and he always makes sure that the load isn't all on one person and all that.

I'm like you, I find it much easier just in general to be with boys. I've always been the only girl in the groups and its just my natural way of being. I usually find that girls are more two faced and bitchy and complicated than boys - if boys have a problem, they will usually tell you.

cos guys aren't bitchy...if they're nasty they're nasty to your face and not behind your backs.

simple .
