really worried

ok may be stupid but here goes.
last night, i was a bit silly. All my uni mates went out for one of our last nights and i drank about 4/5 double vodkas and red bulls. I came in after having a good night and have had about an hours sleep. Now i have woken up and I feel seriously panicky( wide awake at 6!) and my hands are shaking, im REALLY thristy ( been drinking loads) and my head is pounding and feel sick. Usually i would tell myself off and just write it off as a hangover but as I NEVER drink red bull with vodka, im a bit worried its affected me in a serious way.
Is it just a bad hangover or should i be slightly worried?

Just a bad hangover mate. Stay in bed, and drink a little bit of water at a time.

...Unless you puke up blood, then call an ambulance

sounds like a bad hang over,am sure you'll be fine, just try and sleep it off!

Reply 5

You'll be fine, just too much caffiene, sugar and um well alcohol!!

Drink plenty of water and make sure you relax. It's probably just a severe hang over to be honest but you should take it easy for a while. Stay in bed and try to sleep or have a hot bath.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

sounds like the caffienne and sugar have you got you all hyped up. add to a hangover making you feel sick and you get that! I got this once and was panicky in the same way, it makes your heart race.

Just drink lots of water and try and calm down, it will be ok!

alcohol dehydrates and so does a drink like redbull thus the super hangover. dont worry just chill out with a jug of ice cold water thats what i do.

The shaking you are experiencing are distensive tremors, or DT's. It's what happens when alcoholics (or someone who has drank loads in one sitting) go 'cold turkey'. It's happened to me. Just try and chill out, it'll be fine. The more water you drink, the better.

Yeah, it's just a hangover. I always get panic attacks like that when I drink, hence why I don't drink anymore .... You'll be fine.

The hands shaking may just be the Red Bull. That happened to me once when I tried staying awake all night by drinking copious amounts of Red Bull.

Reply 12

it will be the red bull theres the equivalent of about 8 mugs of coffee in each can so you can forget sleeping for a few days. the sickness will probably be a hangover hope you feel better soon

Reply 13

Red Bull contains the same amount of caffeine as one cup of coffee...

But drinking 4/5 of them is going to keep you up.

Reply 14

Its the red bull, I'm the same when I drink it on a night. Just stay in bed and drink water and sleep or chill out.

Reply 15

It might be the fact that

alcohol = depressant = slows down heart rate
red bull = stimulant = speeds up heart rate

not a good mix really! (but yummy )

Reply 16

im not suprised you felt panicky - caffine triggers panick attacks

Reply 17

Thats quite a lot of caffiene which would explain the shakes. Wouldn't worry too much I dont think, just drink a lot of water but if you feel really bad get some medical attention.
