Well I've heard with girls that its quite normal for some hair to fall out at different stages in life. My sisters hair started falling out regularly when she was about 18, but now she has no problems and has long really nice hair!

Anyways, your a guy, Im not sure if its normal for hair to be falling out. However, if you use gel and stuff, I suggest you cut down, as Hair gel has really bad chemicals in it, which can destroy hair cells.
Also, this may sound freshified, but try putting some oil in your hair regularly (dont go out in public with it!), just before you go to bed and wash it in the morning. Oil is supposed to be really good for your hair.
Im an 18 yr old guy myself, so I know how hard it could be, luckily it hasnt happened to me, but try not to worry about it too much.

No! Not cooking oil!

I think its coconut, but Im not sure, I'll have to ask my mum. lol

With the gel, I use to put loads on till someone advised me not to, I then stopped for around two years, but now I've started using it again.

everytime i take a bath and i wash hair (der...) afterwards when i drain the water i see lots of hair that was fallen out during my washing process.

now i know that the human being loses like 100+ hairs per day but im worried....surely seeing it being lost can't be right?:frown:

im really worried now.

how do i make my hair stronger? :frown:

It's genetic mate. Happens to some of us blokes, and very there's very little you can do about it.

If it's any consolation, women seem to enjoy rubbing a shaved head, and who are we to stop them!

OK This sounds stupid but how do you wash your hair?

cos i think the reason for my hair loss is cos im like scratching it like an itch and really hard: is this a factor do you think?

Mate, are you going bald or are there just loads of hairs falling out?! If you have loads of hairs falling out and are not going bald - WHATS THE iSSUE?!

Untrue.

To OP, have you tried shaving your head? Does it suit you? Some people it suits, some it doesnt. It tends that the darker skinned / more tanned you are the better it suits. Also the shape of your head is a factor. That would be my first solution.

Secondly there are drugs out there, that can be got relatively cheaply that combat it. Finasteride (buy cheaper as proscar, propecia is expensive), and dutasteride. These are DHT (dihydroxytestosterone) blockers. DHT interacts with the roots of genetically tagged hairs, weakening them and causing them to thin and fall out. I've been using proscar for some time and have experienced no side-effects other than a veritable and utter cease in my hairloss.

I'd advise you got onto places like http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/ and talk about it there. Find out what kind of regimens other people are using. Where to get cheap finasteride etc or if you want to combine it with rogaine or something (also proven to have excellent effects on the back of your head, I don't use it because it reacts with my scalp). A switch to an anti-dandruff shampoo can also be of help apparently.

Finally it's down to you. Read read read and research, ask questions, google etc. There are answers out there. PM me if you'd like some info that I don't think I can post. And finally good luck!

EDIT: I'd actually like to mention this site http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions/ and say that it's a whole lot better than the hairlosshelp one.
