I can honestly say that if the person was "the one" Id love them forever, regardless.
Well it all depends, did they murder/rape a member of your family/your chick etc, if thats the case then I'd take it upon myself to execute them.

course you wouldn't.

because no one in their right mind - youself included would love someone capable of murdering or raping. thus if during your relationship you found they had commited these crimes, you would wonder if you ever really knew them as well as you thought, and hence your 'love' would falter.

Some people would, but then they're usually sick f**ks themselves.

I wouldn't, if they could do that to another human being, what could they do to me? I would lose all love for anybody who ruined another life.

So, random question: Would you really honestly still be able to love someone even if they did something really terrible (eg. kill/rape someone, etc) but not to you (ie. they still loved you)?

Discuss.

(ps. (to mods) If this is in the wrong place, please move it)

I would love them no matter what.
sod doing something terrible i wouldnt be with them if i saw they had the potential to do it in the first place. cant say i wouldnt love them tho cos lets face it you cant choose who u love can u?

Agreed. If someone has the potential to do that and destroy someones elses life its pretty scary and I couldnt stay with them
I don't think I would stay with them. It might be hard to let the loving feelings die but if someone was so horrible that they could do that to someone, it's likely they have the capacity to do it to me. So I'd get the hell out of there! You really wouldn't want to be with someone who'd raped someone, they had sex with someone else...forcefully. I don't think that they're in love with you if they do that.
i believe i can
No.

People say the only unconditional love out there is that between a parent and child and even then you see parents disowning kids who have committed horrific crimes so on that basis....no. Sorry :frown:

Correct.

Probably, depending on the context.

If someone I loved did that, I'd probably think that they had changed and no longer were the person I loved- that isn't what I feel for. So I guess not.
Reply 16
well it depends on the situation, killing in self defence, if it was absolutely necessary then yes...rape? in no way could I ever love any one who committed rape
Reply 17
If they did something like that on the purpose, then they're not the person i thought i loved.

The only possible exception would be love for my future child. Whatever they did i couldn't stop loving them, because that love isn't conditional. xx

Ditto to that one. If they'd become mentally ill and that had caused them to do these things, I'd probably support them and make sure they got the help they needed, even if it was prison. But I couldn't live with someone who had it in them to do that to other people.

No, I'd still kill them.
