Thrush!

How many people suffer from this problem?!
My housemate gets it so often its untrue! But I've got it at the mo and its driving me crazy! So uncomfortable.

Do you know if you can buy the pessary off the shelf or is it only over the counter?
i've got it  it's horrible :bawling: and it one of those things you've got for life  you can get it over the counter but it's like £7-odd so if you can get it free from the doc,why not?

Because I'd rather not waste my docs time and charge the NHS when it wont bust my pocket to get the medication for only £7! Plus I have to pay for prescriptions so there's no difference!
ok...but i doubt the doc minds really. mine doesn't. she's so nice  but then when you get the pessary you need to get the cream as well so it clears up properly,so you might still need a prescription for that i think.

No you dont need the cream with the pessnd you dont have to go the docs unless its the first time. And its only thrush, I'm not running the docs everytime I've got it, she's got better things to do!
hey was only suggesting...sheesh...don't bite my head off.if you already knew why were you still asking

It is good the duo. I've tried the tablet before but wouldnt rate it. It seems to take ages to work.
sorry, but what exactly is thrush? (i honestly have no idea)
you don't want the whole of tsr knowing you've got thrush and everytime they see you, they go..hmm..she's got thrush...must remember not to fanyc her lol actually the fancy part of just silly but you know..it sucks if the only thing people remember about you is that you've got thrush

to anon 2:
it's a fungal infection, you itch down there. doesn't help if you wear thongs or tight jeans because bacteria can get from your bum to your vagina area, cause a disruption and then you get the symptoms of thrush.

Oh I got that itching ONCE and it lasted about a week and then went away by itsself, no cream or anything. It's cos I used to wear pantyliners on a daily basis and you need to let your skin breathe so that wasn't good.
