When I smoke, I smoke Silk Cut.

Because I'm classy as balls. :colonhash:

Marlboro Bright Leaf when I buy straights. Although I definitely prefer rolling.

Just waiting for all the "shouldn't smoke" posts.

Marlboro Menthols for when I'm feeling particularly rich. Golden Virginia for when I'm poor.

lucky strike all the way. Back in the misery days when i used to smoke rollies, amber leaf was the tobacco of choice, as golden vagina tastes a little.... funky. Cutters' moist is probably one of the nicest, but THE best tobacco for rolling and smoking is flavoured types from tobacconists, smooth, tasty but not overpowering, and relatively cheap.

Def this, Lucky Strikes am the best straights by far other than next brands like Davidoff and **** you can only get off the internet. C/s the tobacconist thing as well, GV is ****ing rank compared to some AK or summat

Why dont you just 'pre-roll' like 10 rollies for a night out using your GV? then store them in a sealed pouch or deck. That way its as convenient as buying cigarettes for a night out. Just a thought...

I normally smoke GV day to day aswell....but recently changed to Mayfair Kingsize straights. I prefer the taste and it hits the spot just right for me

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think I need to make it more clear though, I prefer Golden Virginia. I only smoke cigarettes when I'm out as its easier than rolling up, so I am looking for a cigarette that is the most similar in taste to GV.

And Swarve, I've done that before, but I'd go through more than 10 on a night out and so rolling up that many is a bit of a pain.
Mis-read the thread title:mad:

Tell you what you could do. Pop down to CO-OP and buy yourself a straight maker and 100 filter tubes, takes about 30 seconds-1 minute to make a perfect straight. That's what I do when I come back from the mainland with tons of tobacco.
Since I started rolling, all straights taste disgusting to me...

Completely off-topic, but just read your sig...

How did you go from a (presumably) IT/computing based undergrad degree to History at postgrad?

I ask because I'd love to do history lol... but obviously being a bioscience undergrad is a pretty major barrier to that (or so I thought :s-smilie: )
I can't go back to straights after switching to GV. Pretty much any straight I smoke is flavourless and feels like I'm not even smoking anything. The flavour is so insipid it actually makes me feel a little ill.

If I had to smoke straights though, it'd probably be Marlboro reds, but that's only because they were what I used to smoke before switching to rollies.

Just roll all the time... I'm dead quick so there's no speed advantage unless I'm so pissed up that i'd be lighting the wrong end of a straight without realising it anyway.

Yeah since I started smoking rollies straights taste like you're smoking air. Why don't you smoke menthol fags like Marlboro Greens or something?

Hey, I'll PM you.

I generally use Amber Leaf, although when I get some cash it's Richmond Menthols or Malboro Lights
American Spirit or Pueblo. All the standard tobaccos taste like moist chemically **** to me now.

So if you smoke cigarettes now and again, what brand do you smoke?

Marlboro Red or Sobranie... I smoke GV rollies when I am at university lectures as I smoke so much and the price per pack is a rip off in this country.

The best cigs are Regal. They are a bit more expensive but if you are buying them for infrequent use then it is worth it.

They are also pretty much the only cigarettes sold in normal size (as opposed to King Size being the standard)
