Virginity - how old is too old to still be one?

i mean yeah all that stuff 'when the time is right'. but lok at the film about the 40 year old virgin, where older virgins are the funniest thing ever. to be honest i'd think there was a problem with a 40 year old virgin. even a 30 year old one.3% of people 25-44 years old are virgins. i'd hate to die as one
but when is too old , too old?

so say you left uni ages 21, and you met alot og guys, but thought they'd be awful. what age would you rather have an awful experience that remain one? and also how would you know it would be awful before it happened
You are too old when you want and are ready to have sex but don't.
You are never too old if you have never felt comfortable with losing it.

What a ridiculous question. How would you ever set about answering that?
is it bad to see losing your virginity as just the first stepping stone to a sex life, and therefore not important. is it so bad to be dissapointed first time, there is plenty of time to be happy with sex.
