I'm a leader at a Guide pack - and know some people in scouts/explorers, but aren't in it myself. Why???
I'm a Diamond Chief's Scout (soon to become a Queen's Scout), an Explorer and a Young Leader (God knows why tho).

I used to be a Brownie then a Girl Guide all those many years ago. Great Fun though!!!
I was an Explorer for 2 years... to be honest, I'm not good at sticking to organised regular activities. I got bored too easily.

:congrats: Well done on your Queens Guide! A friend of mines just completed hers but hasn't picked it up yet:smile:
I'm not a scout, I'm a young leader with brownies and guides though. I went away with scouts if that makes any difference.
Je suis an Explorer and Beaver Scout leader.

Is there a guiding/scouting association on here? Like a SSAGO for the student room or something?
Used to be until they split explorers from regular scouts. Then I had a car journey to get to explorers where I didn't know anyone (all the other people I liked couldn't be bothered either) or regular scouts with a load of immature people 2 years younger than me.

Sad really. Would be nice to try helping out though.

Me too! Beavers are by far the best people to be Young Leader for. You can turn up at one of their meetings after a hard day in college, and leave full of energy... they are very refreshing.

I like my Explorer leaders... not only do they not have a problem with us enjoying the better aspects of life, we are unashamedly unorthodox (keep getting into serious trouble with our DC  ) and they are even known to buy us drinks....

Remember doing the three peaks for my Diamond Chief Scouts and getting pissed with one of my leaders on the first night... day after, one of the explorers is climbing Inglebourogh with a hangover! How we laughed.....

No, but that sounds like an exciting idea!

Maybe someone should start one if we're allowed?

Sure we're allowed.

Who wants to be the trooper? :p:
