feeling all odd about leaving college

i'm graduating from college this spring, going to uni next year, and I've always been really excited about that. However, today the history department named the three students (from lower sixth) who will be participating in this special history program next year, in their upper sixth, last year at college. I did that program this year... and all of a sudden, reading the names of these three new students who will be participating next year... I came over all odd... a mix of jealousy, nostalgia and nervousness... and now I feel really weird! What's going on?

yeah i'm in the same boat except i'm not going uni i'm going off to serve but yeah its weird its like you wanna go and start the next leg of your life but at the same time your like whoah i like it here i wanna stay

God I still feel like that about everything to do with school!! I left in july (but not at uni yet so that might account for something lol) but yeah, things like other people winning awards that I have is weird, and other people doing things we used to do like helping out at plays n parents evenings etc! Its quite sad really but I cant help it! And they're changing the school completely (redoing it all inside, new stuff etc) which is totally odd too. I have no school to go back to, its all different!! :frown:

But the teachers are still as fab and insane as ever :biggrin:

yeah... its weird, earlier this school year, I was all "I can't wait to leave!" and "yeah... college awards, whatever." But now I'm like "wait... that's my award!" and "ahhh what will I do when I leave?"

As much as i labast my college, i will miss it for sure. if not the actual college itself, the people there. it's going to be a sad last day indeed.

well its hard to think we will be leaving out friends and family. i am going to uni in october and i try not to think what i am leaving behind. im so scared yet so excited. u r just feeling nostalgic and thats normal. advice tho, do NOT listen to Forvever Young by Youth Group when thinkin about memories....

Its jsut like the realisation its actually happening that your leaving it all behind, it hit me when i picked up my results and got into uni.

I see alot of my old friends abit anyways like trains cheap as chips with rail cards always a good crack to go visiting mates for a few days sample all the student nightlife the uk has to offer!
